The Department since its inception in 2001, always trying its level best to impart theoretical knowledge with proper blend of practical aspects to suite the real demand from the industry by not only covering fully the VTU syllabus but also beyond by conducting regular seminars , workshops, conferences, technical talks by eminent personalities from academia, R&D and Industry which made us our students continuously getting good overall pass percentage and well placed in many national and international companies like INFOSYS, SONATA,TCS, WIPRO,TEXAS, INTEL etc…. and also our students are pursuing higher studies in best universities in the world. The Department regularly allowed students to undergo internship training and innovative projects in various industries, conducted various industrial tours, and other technical activities, the students are encouraged to do the students projects from their first year itself and pre final and final year projects in various public and private industries and R&D centers. Every year our student's projects are getting selected for funding by KSCST and other organizations.

At present the department is one of the very few departments in VTU, having NBA accreditation and UG intake of 240 with Shift courses, MTECH and PhD programs. The department got all the facility for both students and faculty to do research level activities. The department also got Centre of excellence in VLSI & Embedded systems and got Industry supported Laboratories from WIPRO, INTEL & TEXAS.

I hope in future the department of ECE is one of the best destinations not only for the students of India but also from other countries to pursue their dreams.
