Electronics and communication have
become part and parcel of the present industry. ‘Electronics is the brain of Modern Technology.’ It is
an evergreen subject that provides opportunities for
technicians in the following areas of Engineering like
Maintenance and service, Research , Production Control,
Quality Control and Marketing. The program strives to
build a new generation of engineers who can innovate new
development program which includes Embedded technology,
VLSI, Digital Communication, Wireless Communication,
Operating System, Advanced Programming Languages etc…
The students find themselves at the top in the industry when it comes to placement prospects. They find placements in companies like ISRO, DRDO, CDAC, BEL,NAL,HAL, INTEL, TEXAS, WIPRO, CISCO, BOSCH,DELL, SIEMENS, SINTEL, MOTOROLA, HONEYWELL, TOSHIBA, IBM, AMD, SONY, SAMSUNG, PHILIPS, NASA, National Electronics and National Semi-conductors and also in software industry.
About the Department
The Department of ECE was started in the year 2001. It strives for excellence in imparting technical knowledge, skills and ability to its students, not only theoretical but practically also. The goal of the Department is to ensure modern technical knowledge to be transformed to products which helps the society to the greater extent of happy life through our engineers who are prepared not only to become globally accepted employees but also make them to become entrepreneurs.
The Department of ECE, has got well established proctor and student mentoring system, parents interactions, technical activities throughout the academic year. The students are involved in doing projects regularly in every semester along with final year projects, students are insisted to undergo at least one internship during their engineering program.
It is one of the first department in India which got WIPRO,TEXAS and INTEL laboratories in the same campus.
The department is well established with state of art technology to impart knowledge for future industrial and educational needs. It is furnished with sound laboratories outfitted with hi-tech instruments, internet and computer systems. It has class rooms with audio-visual teaching aids. The department is completely networked. It has well experienced faculties from reputed industries and institutions. The department has been made almost paperless office. It is well integrated by standalone seminar hall and supporting auditorium to conduct seminars, workshops and training.
The Department has got UG program, PG (MTECH) program , Research Centre , Ph.D program, Centre of Excellence in VLSI and Embedded systems, Industrial tie-ups with many core electronics & software industries.

Department Activities:
- The department is a proud member of IEEE , IETE and ISTE.
- The Department got both students and faculty forums for IEEE,IETE and ISTE.

- The Department regularly conducting various University level and National Level workshops, seminars, conferences, Faculty development Programs, etc… round the year.
- The Department conducts EC-DAY: Department Day since from 2004 which attracts many students from various colleges of ECE branch to exhibit their cultural, sports and technical talents.
- The Department Every year conducts Project Exhibition for their Students.
- Well planned and systematic Lesson Plan and monitoring is carried out throughout the semester to cover the 100% syllabus and preparing the students to face the main exams confidently by giving assignments & tests.
- Well structured Proctor system in place to help and support the students in their overall growth.
- Lot of activities are carried out under IEEE – student branch.
- The Department has got Student Forum GENRIX which is run by the students related to all technical, sports and cultural activities since 2004.
- Departmental Alumni Association is functioning and regularly the alumni students are contacting the department and offering suggestions, information related to placement and training activities and overall growth of the department.
- The Department has got its own Advisory Board; its members include dignitaries from the industry, R&D, Private, Multinational & Government companies & Alumni.
- The Department of ECE since from 2005-06, regularly getting KSCST funding for their students projects.
- Since from inception in 2001, the department has done.
- Department Library contains 450 Titles and 600 Volumes of books with E-Content of 80 GB data, which includes all Journal Papers, Student Projects, E-Books, Study Materials, Technical Data, EDUSAT Lectures and other related Videos.
