Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS)
Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are one of the many branches of science, engineering, and technology. Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a core technologies like Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data warehouse, Data mining, Scripting language, Product development, Mathematical modelling. This course also gives importance to areas like big data analytics, fuzzy technologies, artificial neural networks. It helps students in getting ready with skills to perform decisions that are based on data analysis. Through AI and DS courses, students will gain skills in areas like statistics, data scientists, machine learning, computer science, and logic. Artificial Intelligence is a part of Data Science. For its operations in the field of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence is used. Data Science is connected with Artificial Intelligence through machine learning.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches and Data Science (DS) is the field of study which encompasses various roles such as data analysts, decision scientists and business intelligence developers. As data is the main oil for every application, DS is helpful for students to draw meaningful insights from big data and acquire skill-sets to deal with numerous real time applications in this field. Since last decade, AI and DS witnessed tremendous growth and dramatic breakthrough innovations applied in almost every sector. Recently, new education reforms introduced AI learning right from school education. Successful MNCs like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Flipkart, twitter etc. uses various AI and DS techniques to discover patterns and trends in user’s data and behavior. Various banking and financial companies uses AI and DS techniques for risk analysis, share market trends analysis, investment banking.
VISION
To encourage the inquisitiveness in a student and make him to understand the fundamentals of science to exploit for the development of new technology.
MISSION
To feed the engineer with fine aspects of science which make them to understand, exploit and innovate; leading to the technological advancement of future world.
Information science and Engineering is originally a basic study to elucidate the mechanism of information processing in such biotic behavior as thinking, decision making, perception, and learning and a study to develop devices which can simulate those activities. Information science is applied to all fields of study, including the natural sciences, the arts and humanities, technology and social science, and has brought about revolutions in these areas.
The Faculty of information Science and Technology offers engineering and industry oriented subjects where the students can excel in the interested domain. These diversified programmes are application-oriented and are designed to produce competent graduates who can apply theories in practice. Our students are set to participate in industrial and research projects with a strong applied nature for industrial, commercial and community needs. They will be trained to think critically and analytically, thus standing them in good stead in their future professions and making them highly valued by employers.
Our team of professors and lecturers has an unswerving dedication to provide a caring environment and a gateway for aspiring students to pursue lifelong learning. We will always be around to help any and all, even after graduation and beyond.
