Mechanical Engineering (MECH)

Greetings from Mechanical Engineering Department

I am immensely pleased to share with you the optimistic outlook of this department after a serious lull for about three years. According to Industry estimates, both Indian and global, the manufacturing, transport, energy and aviation sectors will grow very rapidly and therefore, the requirements for mechanical Engineers will increase and perhaps exceed the levels of 2016. Already there are indications in this direction and the central authorities have issued directions to maintain Mechanical Engineering admissions at the same level.

I am confident that from this Academic year, the demand for Mechanical Engineers will reach sky rocket and this is the right time to take up a course and career in this royal branch of Engineering.

With high regards to parents and guardians,

With best wishes to students

Dr. R Seetharamiah

FACILITIES

The students will also be involved in research activities. They will be made to participate in R & D work by faculty members by giving some part of the research work, in design and developing basic research facilities and prototypes. Many of the students have been involved in R & D activities like processing of Metal Sponge, Surface modification by kinetic coating, cryogenic treatment, Alternative fuels, Bio gas fuel etc. This involvement makes the students to update themselves with ongoing advancement in the Mechanical engineering.
