Information Science & Engineering (ISE)

Information science and Engineering is originally a basic study to elucidate the mechanism of information processing in such biotic behavior as thinking, decision making, perception, and learning and a study to develop devices which can simulate those activities. Information science is applied to all fields of study, including the natural sciences, the arts and humanities, technology and social science, and has brought about revolutions in these areas.

The Faculty of information Science and Technology offers engineering and industry oriented subjects where the students can excel in the interested domain. These diversified programmes are application-oriented and are designed to produce competent graduates who can apply theories in practice. Our students are set to participate in industrial and research projects with a strong applied nature for industrial, commercial and community needs. They will be trained to think critically and analytically, thus standing them in good stead in their future professions and making them highly valued by employers.

Our team of professors and lecturers has an unswerving dedication to provide a caring environment and a gateway for aspiring students to pursue lifelong learning. We will always be around to help any and all, even after graduation and beyond.

TEACHING - LEARNING PROCESS

The teaching and learning process for Information Science and Engineering for students it is a dynamic and critical journey. In an era of increasing digital information storing, this process equips students with the knowledge and skills to protect information, analyze valuable and accurate data that can be processed as information and ensure secure technological environments. Since we are affiliated to VTU, AICTE As per rules and regulation of the universities we follow the teaching methods

Short term goal

  • To strive towards Institute-Industry interaction and also encourage students and staff to pursue research.
  • To develop both inner and outer personality of every individual Encouraging faculties for FDP to improve the quality of teaching-learning process.
  • Motivating students to obtain university ranks

Long term goal

  • To impart quality education to our students, to make them to face the challenges in professional life and to satisfy the needs of the industries.
  • The dept of ISE welcomes you to be a part of Information science community and become visionaries and change makers of the future.
  • Dept of ISE started in the year 2004 with intake of 60. Our distinguished faculty members ensure a wide range of diverse learning experience ranging from the basics to emerging technologies like AI & ML, Data science, Block chain technology, Universal human values etc
  • Information technology in the recent years has become overwhelmingly pervasive. Our dept dedicated for ensuring good careers for the students/ our faculties and students striving to excel and to advance the state of art in information science. Our faculties and students are constantly striving to excel and to advance the state of art in information science. By providing the strong foundation in problem solving techniques and made more adaptable to changes in the technology by conducting mini projects, encouraging them to apply for funding agencies, industrial visits etc
  • We also strongly propose to students to undertake value added courses to get enhanced in the recent trends to make them strongly accept the challenges they face
  • It remains most preferred choice of all the students seeking admission in SaIT we a team sincerely welcome the young buds who aspire to pursue studies , to educate or innovate in the area of information science
