 What Prospective Students Need to Know About S.G.I Enrollment

Advance Enrollment
To secure your future and avoid the last-minute rush, S.G.I offers an Advance Enrollment facility. This initiative ensures that aspiring students do not miss out on opportunities due to limited seat availability. We strongly encourage all prospective students to apply early and take advantage of this facility.

How to Apply
1. Application Form Submission
Students must fill out the application form. Include photocopies of relevant testimonials as specified in Part A or Part B of the application guidelines.

  1. Enrollment Fee:
    The enrollment fee varies depending on the chosen course.
    Refer to the Fee Structure or seek guidance from the Admission Office for exact details.
    This fee will be adjusted once the seat is confirmed.
  1. Provisional Admission Notification:
    Once your application is reviewed, the Admission Office will issue a provisional admission letter, confirming your seat.

For Current Session Applications
Students applying for courses in the ongoing academic session should:
Submit the completed application form. Include two photocopies of all original testimonials as specified in Part A or Part B. Send the application either via post or deliver it in person to the Admission Office.

Note: To ensure a seamless admission process, we recommend that students keep all necessary documents ready and reach out to the Admission Office for any clarifications. Early action can guarantee your seat and a smooth transition into your academic journey with S.G.I.

Eligibility Regulation

NRI’s, foreign nationals and students who have studied in educational boards that are not directly under Association of Indian Universities are supposed to obtain an eligibility / equivalence certificate from the University. The necessary application form for the same is issued from the Corporate Office of this institution.

  • Wherever grading system or any other system is followed for evaluating the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination, the applicant should ensure that a certificate indicating the percentage obtained has to be submitted through the University / Board last studied.
  • Students who are not fulfilling the study of mandatory subjects as mentioned in the prospectus as regulated by the University shall also apply for eligibility/equivalence certificate from the University.
  • The percentage calculation as per the University is on the total marks obtained in all subjects studied inclusive of languages for MBA/MCA/MTA/M.S in Communication/M.Sc. Electronic Media and 50% in aggregate for all M.Sc. courses in life Sciences, and Electronic Science. For certain courses the applicant should have obtained 50% of marks in aggregate in individual subjects also.
  • Applicants for PG courses have to submit a copy of the syllabus studied, scheme of examination and regulation relating to promotion etc.
  • Applicants for PG courses should produce marks cards issued by the University only and students who are submitting the marks cards issued by the colleges for the I/II year or alternative semesters should produce letter from the concerned college regarding the details of marks cards issued by the college and the University.
  • Applicants passing GCE / O / A level examination should have passed 4 + 3 or 3 + 2 subjects at the O & A level respectively

Part A – Undergraduate

Marks Cards – 10th & 12th std. Issued by the Board / University.

Migration Certificate issued by the Board / University.

Conduct / Character Certificate & Transfer Certificate issued by the School / College last studied.

Date of Birth /Age proof certificate.
Caste Certificate (For those belonging to reserved categories).

Ten passport size & ten stamp size photographs

Part B – Postgraduate

Marks Cards – 10th, 12th std. & Degree (3 years) issued by the Board / University.

Migration Certificate issued by the University.
Conduct / Character Certificate & Transfer Certificate issued by the College last studied.

Provisional degree certificate Degree Certificate issued by the University.

Date of Birth/ Age proof certificate .
Caste Certificate (only for those belonging to reserved categories).

Ten passport size & ten stamp size photographs.

Admission Regulation

Admission approval from University is initiated only on submission of all the following original certificate:

  • 10th Standard pass marks card issued by SSLC / CBSE / ICSE / the concerned board.
  • 12th Standard pass marks card /Certificate issued by Pre University / CBSE / ISC /any other concerned board.
  • Transfer Certificate or School/ College Leaving Certificate issued by the institution last studied.
  • Migration Certificate issued by the concerned board / University.
  • Character Certificate issued by the institution last studied.
  • O Level marks card issued by the GCE (as applicable).
  • A Level marks card issued by the GCE / Higher Secondary / equivalent certificate (as applicable).
  • Degree / Graduation marks cards (all years Semesters / Annual – for PG only).
    Provisional Degree / Degree Certificate (for PG only).
  • Passport size and 10 stamp size photographs.
  • Valid Passport & Student Visa copy (for NRI & Foreign nationals only).
  • Caste certificate (for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe).
  • Verification letter for genuineness of marks card (for students from Jammu & Kashmir Board / University)

Documentation Requirements

Students must submit all required documents during admission to avoid inconveniences related to missing or incomplete applications.

Falsified documents or misinformation may lead to the cancellation of admission.

Provisional Admission

All admissions are provisional and subject to approval by the respective universities.

Original Document Submission

Candidates who have completed their degree or 12th-grade examinations must submit their original documents.

Fee Payment Undertaking

Candidates must sign an undertaking specifying the deadline for balance fee payment. Non-payment within the stipulated period will result in cancellation of provisional admission.

Third-Party Involvement

The college is not responsible for fraudulent acts, misrepresentation, or fee-related discrepancies caused by agents or consultants acting on behalf of students or parents.
Agents or consultants must produce an authorization letter from the student or parent.
Parents or students must verify the correctness of fees quoted by agents or consultants and ensure payments are made to the college without dues.

No Dues Certificate

Students authorizing an agent to make payments must insist on a “No Dues Certificate” from the college.

Note : Important Points

Fee Structure Verification

Beware of individuals quoting incorrect fee structures or making false promises. Contact the Admissions Office to confirm the official fee structure.

Penal Action for Misrepresentation

Agents or consultants found guilty of quoting false fees or making false promises will face stringent legal action.

Issuance of Admission Letters

Admission or provisional admission letters are issued solely by the college management or designated admissions staff. Agents or consultants are not authorized to issue these documents.

Direct Admissions

Students and parents are advised to process admissions directly through the college to avoid potential complexities or fraud.

Fee Payment Responsibility

The college is not liable for any monetary transactions between students, parents, and agents. Delays or non-payments due to agent-related issues will not be considered valid excuses.

Authorized Payment Method

Fees collected by agents must be in the form of Demand Drafts (DDs) payable to the institution, as stated in the agent’s letter of authorization. All payments must be made directly at the college office.

This policy ensures transparency, fairness, and adherence to ethical practices in the admissions process. Parents and students are encouraged to follow the guidelines carefully to avoid misunderstandings and ensure a smooth admission experience.
