AI refers to machines imitating human intelligence, while ML focuses on teaching machines to perform tasks and deliver accurate results by identifying patterns. Together, these technologies provide a solid foundation for building a successful career in various industries by understanding real-world applications such as OLA, chat bots, and e-payments. The need for skilled AI & ML professionals spans nearly every industry, including financial services, healthcare, agriculture, media and marketing, government and military, national security, IoT-enabled systems, agriculture, gaming and retail. Apart from working as software engineers and researchers, AI & ML engineers have varied career opportunities as in big data analyst, user experience designer, natural language processing engineers. Top MNCs like Amazon Web Services, Apple, Microsoft, and others actively recruit AI and ML professionals.
Apart from having a strong knowledge of applied mathematics and algorithms and good problem-solving abilities, the essential skills for AI & ML engineers include industry-specific knowledge, machine learning concepts and techniques.

HOD
The world is undergoing a significant transformation driven by the rise of intelligent and autonomous systems, reflecting the evolving demands of real-world scenarios. To meet these challenges, our institute is committed to producing skilled professionals in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML).
In 2022, we launched a four-year B.E. program in AIML, offering 60 seats. The program follows the syllabus set by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and is further enriched with additional skills, knowledge, and resources provided by the institution. This program emphasizes core AIML subjects and integrates multidisciplinary activities to foster holistic development, enhancing students’ knowledge, skills, and professional ethics.
Our infrastructure, facilities and team of faculty and non-teaching staff, are dedicated to ensuring that our students are well-equipped with the knowledge and expertise required to excel in competitive environments and build rewarding careers in this rapidly growing field.
